Market Update August 16 2026

Market Update – August 15, 2026

We got the expected short-term rally on August 13. However, that date also marked the end of the first mini time-price square shown in Figure A. Yesterday, August 14, the market produced an inside trading day, which can be interpreted as a potentially bearish signal.

Several additional timing factors now suggest that the market may be approaching another important pivot and the beginning of a short-term downswing. Based on the current time-cycle structure, this decline should terminate near the next projected pivot around August 19, Wednesday.

Figure B adds another important component to the analysis. Mercury’s longitudinal speed reaches a sensitive level on Monday, August 17, at approximately 1 degree 58 minutes. This particular speed is considered sensitive and has often coincided with some type of market reversal.

Figure C shows another significant timing factor. The Lunar Time Cycle produces a time pivot on August 16, adding another piece of evidence to the developing reversal window.

Planetary Confluence

An especially important planetary conjunction occurs on August 15, when Mercury and Jupiter are conjunct. Their declinations are also parallel to one another, which strengthens the significance of the conjunction and creates an additional timing signal.

Mercury’s perigee occurs on August 14, providing another indication of a possible market reversal. Then, on Monday, August 17, Mercury and Jupiter also form a declination crossover.

On that same day, the longitudinal speed of the Moon’s North Node changes as well. The clustering of these independent astronomical events within such a narrow time window increases the importance of the August 15–17 period.

Pivot Analysis

The August 13 high occurred at 7,816. We can convert that price into time by using the number of minutes in one day:

7,816 ÷ 1,440 minutes per day = 5.42 days

Adding 5.42 calendar days to August 13 projects forward to approximately August 18, giving us a projected low.

This projected date falls between the first mini square and the second mini square shown in Figure A, adding another layer of time-price confirmation.

We can also convert the August 13 high of 7,816 into 78.16 degrees. When that value is added to the Moon’s longitude on August 13, the projection arrives at Wednesday, August 19.

This suggests that the market should begin to rally from the projected low on Tuesday and move into the August 19 timing point.

There is also a very simple calendar-day relationship supporting August 19. Measuring the distance from the August 5 high to the August 13 high gives us:

August 5 High → August 13 High = 8 Calendar Days

When those same eight calendar days are added to the August 11 low, the projection again arrives at:

August 11 + 8 Days = August 19

Conclusion

The current analysis therefore contains an unusually concentrated group of timing signals between August 15 and August 19. These include the Mercury-Jupiter conjunction, their parallel declinations, Mercury’s perigee, the Mercury-Jupiter declination crossover, the change in the longitudinal speed of the Moon’s North Node, Mercury’s sensitive longitudinal speed, the Lunar Time Cycle pivot, and the independent time-price projections from the August 13 high.

Taken together, these factors point toward a short-term downswing followed by an important potential pivot in the August 18–19 time window. The August 19 date is particularly noteworthy because it is reached through more than one independent timing calculation.

As always, the strongest market signals occur when several independent methods converge on the same narrow period of time. The next several trading sessions should therefore be watched very carefully.
